The Annual Dane of the Year (DOTY) show was founded by Mr Fergus Taylor circa 1953.
The show is sponsored by 3 breed clubs : The Northern Great Dane Club, The Midland & West of England Great Dane Club, and The Great Dane Club of Wales, each club hosting the show in rotation.
