I would like to firstly to thank the committee for asking me to judge at this, my first CC appointment. I was honoured as this was the first great Dane show I ever went to nearly 30 years ago; never thinking I would one day be a judge. Thank you to all who exhibited under me with some really lovely dogs.
Class1. Minor Puppy Dog. 3 entries 1 Abs
1st Maganaris, Gray & Armour CULSEANDANES NIC CAGE
8 month fawn good head with dark eyes clean neck into well laid shoulders well balanced body sound mover which won him this class. Should do well.
2nd Pocock TAMZDANE SON OF A WICH
I liked this mantle very much but felt he needs time to grow on, strong head but correct lovely dark eyes with a mischievous look, front needs to come but that is a growing thing, sound on the move he should do well if everything comes together.
Class 2. Puppy Dog. 5 entries 2 Abs
1st McGuiness, Nelson-McGuiness & Burns GARSAK SIR BRODICK DINAHTRON
Well I could write about this dog all day, I loved him never thought I would give a puppy top honours but he so deserved his RCC and BPIS, so close to giving him the ticket could have took him home in a heartbeat. Fawn of 9 months old so together at this stage. Good head neck going into correct shoulders elbows well tucked under, good croup and level topline which he kept on the move very sound both coming and going everything I was looking for good luck in the future.
2nd White JUTLANDER’S BEAM ME UP (Imp DNK)
Fawn dog which was unlucky to meet the winner today. Good head planes black mask correct shoulder placement nice croup with a good tail set, bit loose on movement at the minute but only a puppy he will settle down I am sure.

Lovely marked Brindle, Classic head with lovely black mask dark eyes gives the look of dash and dare. Stands four square without much help from handler in very good condition sound on the move should do well.

Big upstanding Harle needs time to come into his frame. Good head and neck, nicely marked movement let him down today.

very similar comments as one lost out on movement today. Good shoulders deep brisket elbows well tucked under a very nice dog indeed.

Smaller dog than winner preferred this dogs colour but that is a me thing! Decent head with nice expression dark eye good shape all through movement ok.

Bigger dog than winner fills his frame well. Strong head dark eye but not course, shown in lovely condition his movement let him down today.

CC and RBIS This dog was what I was looking for, he could do the job that the breed was originally bred for. Impress dog balanced throughout, well chiselled head with correct drop of lip and black mask. Nice width and depth of chest flat bone strong croup very sound on the move well deserved his place today.

Another impressive dog a lovely Brindle who stands four square without any help from handler, head and ear set correct good tight dark eyes good spring of rib sound on the move just unfortunate to have met winner today a worthy champion.
